Privacy notice
Effective 2026-09-29.
This notice explains what personal information CoatYard collects through coatyard.com, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
Who we are
CoatYard is a store operated by materially LLC, 10018 Spanish Isles Blvd, #A20, Boca Raton, FL 33498-6324, USA. materially LLC decides how the personal information described here is used and is responsible for it. Questions about this notice go to ops@materially.studio.
What we collect
When you send a quote request. The form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), company (optional, for trade roles), which role best describes you, the approximate area, the product you are asking about, the ship-to state and ZIP code, and your project notes. With the request we also receive, when your browser has them, the campaign tags of the link that brought you to the site, the name of the website that referred you and the first page you viewed on this site. We use all of this to prepare and send your quote.
When you email us. Your email address, your message and anything you attach.
When you place an order. The details needed to deliver and invoice it: name, delivery address, email, phone number and what you ordered. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
When you browse. Our servers and our hosting provider process your IP address to deliver pages, to check that a form is sent by a person, and to limit repeated submissions. We do not store your IP address with your quote request.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as government ID numbers or financial account numbers.
Analytics and your browser’s storage
We measure visits with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. It records the page viewed, the referring website, the browser, operating system and device type, and a country derived from the IP address at the time of the visit, plus events such as a quote request being sent (with the role and area chosen, never your contact details). We use these counts to see which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries.
To connect a quote request to the link that brought you here, the site keeps a small record in your browser’s local storage: the campaign tags on that link, the name of the referring website and the first page you viewed. We use it for 30 days; after that it is ignored, and replaced on your next visit. It stays on your device and is sent to us only with a quote request or an order. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party trackers, and we do not track you across other websites.
Bot protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a request comes from a person. To do that, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical signals from your browser at the time of the check.
Who processes information for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only to provide its service to us:
- Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website and runs the Turnstile check on our forms.
- Hetzner — hosts the server that runs our store backend, where quote requests, orders and our own analytics are stored.
- Resend — delivers the automated emails we send, such as a confirmation that we received your request.
- Stripe — processes card payments when you pay by card.
- Our email provider — delivers the mail you send to hello@coatyard.com and our replies.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and emails, and the contact details in them, for 24 months after our last contact with you; after that the contact details are deleted. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted, subject to records the law requires us to keep. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; we do neither. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit it. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email ops@materially.studio or hello@coatyard.com from the address you used with us. We confirm we received it within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. We verify a request by matching it to the email address and details we hold; an authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control (CalOPPA)
This site does not track you across other websites over time and does not allow third parties to do so, so a browser Do Not Track signal changes nothing about how the site behaves. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a request to opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not do.
Children
This site sells building materials to adults and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email ops@materially.studio and we will delete it.
Security
Personal information is sent to us over encrypted connections and kept on servers we control or on our service providers’ systems, with access limited to the people who need it to answer you or fulfil your order.
Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we update the effective date above. Our terms of sale cover how we sell.
