Elastomeric & silicone finish coats

KST41300T Uniflex Premium Acrylic Elastomeric Roof Coating, Sedona Tan

  • Premium acrylic finish coat
  • Sold by the pail

The premium acrylic elastomeric finish coat in sedona tan, the deeper of the two warm catalog colors. Same 100% acrylic chemistry and substrate list as the white, in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums, supplied ready rather than tinted.

Key benefits

  • Sedona tan as a catalog color, out of the pail, with no colorant added on the way to the job
  • Premium grade 100% acrylic elastomeric, water-based, sharing the substrate list of the white premium acrylic
  • Stocked in 5-gallon pails, with 55-gallon drums quoted with the order
  • Listed for use with reinforcing fabric or seam tape, so seams, flashings and penetrations stay in the same system
  • Adobe light tan is the lighter warm color in the range if the building wants less depth

Overview

KST41300T is the premium acrylic elastomeric finish coat in sedona tan, the deeper of the two warm colors the range carries as stock. The chemistry is the white’s: 100% acrylic elastomeric, water-based, listed by the manufacturer over metal, polyurethane foam, concrete, smooth built-up, modified bitumen, granular cap sheets, EPDM and Hypalon, and listed for use with fabric or seam tape at the details.

Because it is a catalog color, the pail arrives finished. That matters on a roof with a color requirement and a tight schedule, where waiting on a tint is the thing that moves the start date. Where the building wants a softer warm tone, KST04130T is the adobe light tan. Where it wants an exact match to a wall or a neighboring roof, the tint bases are the route instead. Rates, film build, recoat and cure come from the manufacturer’s product data sheet.

Application

  • Start on a roof that is clean, dry and sound. Wash the field, clear ponded silt and loose granules, and let it dry as the data sheet requires.
  • Repair first, then reinforce the details before any field work: splits, blisters, open laps, flashings, penetrations and fastener rows.
  • Prime by substrate. Metal, concrete, single ply and asphaltic roofs each take their own first step off the data sheet.
  • Base coat, then finish coat, with the base in a contrasting color so each pass shows while the crew is on it.
  • Apply at the rate, film build and coat count the manufacturer’s product data sheet states, in the conditions it allows.

Ordering

KST41300T comes in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums. Stocked pack sizes ship in 1 to 3 business days; anything not on the shelf is ordered in and runs 1 to 2 weeks. Drums, pallet quantities and freight go through the quote form, and every price is quoted per project rather than printed here. Send the part numbers, the quantities, the site ZIP code and your dates, and we reply with the price, freight to the site and a ship date.

Where it's used

  • Visible roofs on warm-toned buildings

Low-slope roofs seen from above or from a neighboring building, on stucco, adobe and masonry elevations where a deeper tan sits better than a white field.

  • Residential and HOA work

Flat and low-slope sections on housing and small multifamily buildings, where the roof color answers to a community standard rather than a specifier.

  • Metal roofs

Panel and standing-seam roofs, once the fasteners are dealt with, the metal has taken its primer and the ribs and fastener rows have been detailed.

  • Smooth BUR, modified bitumen and cap sheets

Sound asphaltic roofs, over the elastomeric MB base coat those surfaces take first so the asphalt does not read through the finish.

  • Concrete decks and foam

Cured concrete roof decks over the acrylic concrete primer, and SPF roofs at their recoat interval where the foam is intact.

Questions

How does sedona tan differ from adobe light tan?
They are two catalog colors of the same premium acrylic elastomeric coating. Sedona tan is the deeper of the two and is KST41300T; adobe light tan is the lighter one and is KST04130T. Both come in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
Is the part number really KST41300T and not KST041300T?
It is KST41300T, which is what we stock it and quote it under. Every quote we send states the part number, the color, the pack size and the quantity, so there is no ambiguity about what arrives on the pallet.
Can I have a color matched to the building?
The tint bases are the route for that. Accent, deep and pastel bases are separate part numbers, tinted with the manufacturer colorant system for a matched or shaded roof. Ask on the quote how tinting is handled for your order.
How much material will my roof take?
The manufacturer's product data sheet states the coverage rate and the film build per coat and per substrate. Send the square footage, the roof type and its condition and the quote works the pails or drums out for that roof.
Who issues the system warranty?
Sherwin-Williams, through its own authorized contractors and on its own terms. We supply the materials, and the goods are warranted to match their description.
