Elastomeric & silicone finish coats
KST041300 Uniflex Premium Acrylic Elastomeric Roof Coating, White
- Premium acrylic finish coat
- Sold by the pail
The premium white acrylic elastomeric finish coat, and the product most Uniflex restoration systems end with. Listed for metal, polyurethane foam, concrete, smooth BUR, modified bitumen, granular cap sheets, EPDM and Hypalon, and listed for use with fabric or seam tape at the details.
Key benefits
- Premium grade 100% acrylic elastomeric, water-based, and the broadest substrate list among the acrylic finish coats in the range
- Three pack sizes on one part number: 5-gallon pail, 55-gallon drum and 275-gallon tote, so a punch list and a whole roof buy the same material
- Listed for use with reinforcing fabric or seam tape, so seams, flashings and penetrations get detailed in the same system
- Water-based material must not freeze in transit or storage; the quote states the ship window before you commit
- Stocked white, with black, adobe light tan and sedona tan alongside it and three tint bases for a matched color

Overview
KST041300 is the premium white acrylic elastomeric finish coat, and it is the product most Uniflex restoration systems end with. The manufacturer lists it over metal, polyurethane foam, concrete, smooth built-up, modified bitumen, granular cap sheets, EPDM and Hypalon, which is the widest substrate spread of any acrylic finish coat in the range, and it is listed for use with reinforcing fabric or seam tape at the details.
It is also the one part number that comes three ways. A 5-gallon pail suits a section of roof or a punch list, a 55-gallon drum suits a building, and a 275-gallon tote suits a campus or a spray crew working through the week. The material is water-based, so it must not freeze in transit or in storage. The manufacturer’s product data sheet is the authority on rates, film build, recoat and cure; this page describes what we stock and how it is bought.
Application
- Start on a roof that is clean, dry and sound. Wash the field, clear ponded silt and loose granules, and let it dry as the data sheet requires.
- Repair first and reinforce the details before the field: splits, blisters, open laps, flashings, penetrations and fastener rows.
- Prime by substrate. Metal takes a metal primer, concrete takes the concrete primer, EPDM takes the wash primer before the single-ply base coat (TPO, PVC and Hypalon are pressure washed instead), asphaltic surfaces take the MB base coat.
- Base coat, then finish coat, usually in two colors so each pass is visible while the crew is on it.
- Apply at the rate, film build and coat count the manufacturer’s product data sheet states, in the conditions it allows.
Ordering
KST041300 comes in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes. Stocked pack sizes ship in 1 to 3 business days; anything not on the shelf is ordered in and runs 1 to 2 weeks. Drums, totes, pallet quantities and freight go through the quote form, and every price is quoted per project rather than printed here. Send the part numbers, the quantities, the site ZIP code and your dates, and we reply with the price, freight to the site and a ship date.
Where it's used
-
Metal roofs
Standing-seam and screw-down panel roofs, once the fasteners have been dealt with, the metal has taken its primer and the ribs, laps and fastener rows have been detailed.
-
Sprayed polyurethane foam
SPF roofs at their recoat interval, where the foam is intact and the coating is the layer taking the weather.
-
Smooth BUR, modified bitumen and cap sheets
Asphaltic roofs that are structurally sound, over the elastomeric MB base coat those surfaces need first so the asphalt does not read through a white finish.
-
Aged single-ply membranes
Weathered EPDM, TPO and Hypalon over the single-ply base coat KST041321, with the Bond-It wash primer first on EPDM only. For an acrylic finish on PVC, the single-ply specification covers it and the adhesion test settles the build-up.
-
Concrete decks and parapets
Cured concrete roof decks and the parapet walls around them, primed with the acrylic concrete primer first.

Questions
- Can this go straight onto the roof?
- Only where the roof is clean, dry and sound and the manufacturer's product data sheet lists that substrate for direct application. Most roofs take something first: a metal primer on panels, a wash primer and single-ply base coat on EPDM, an elastomeric MB base coat on cap sheets and modified bitumen.
- How much material will my roof take?
- The manufacturer's product data sheet states the coverage rate and the film build per coat and per substrate. Send the square footage, the roof type and its condition, and the quote works the pails, drums or totes out for that roof.
- What is the difference between the premium and the commercial grade?
- KST041300 is the premium white and KST041500 is the commercial grade white. They carry the same substrate list and the same three pack sizes. The manufacturer's data sheets set out how the two differ, and the quote prices whichever the specification names.
- Can it ship in freezing weather?
- It is a water-based coating, so it must not freeze in transit or in storage. Tell us the destination and the dates and the quote states the ship window, so material is not sitting on a dock in a cold snap.
- Do you handle the system warranty?
- No. Sherwin-Williams issues its system warranties through its own authorized contractors under its own terms. We supply the materials, and the goods are warranted to match their description.
