Overview
Every roof has a hundred small joints, and most of them are not worth a specialist chemistry. KST058100 is the Uniflex general-purpose cartridge in white: a single-component polyurethane listed for steel, aluminum, coated metal (Kynar), masonry, wood and asphalt shingles, which covers fastener heads, panel laps, copings, nailers and pipe details on the same gun.
The numbers the maker states are the useful part. Application and service both run from -20 F to 150 F, it is tack free in 3 hours and cured in a day, and it comes in a 10.1 oz cartridge packed 24 to the case. White is the color to pick where the bead stays visible on a white coated roof; KST058110 in black and KST058120 in gray are the same material.
Application
- Start with a joint that is clean, dry and sound. Old sealant, rust scale, dust and oil all come out before the new bead goes in.
- Prime by substrate where the system requires it, with a rust-inhibitive metal primer on bare or rusted steel and the appropriate primer elsewhere.
- Do the details before the field. Gun and tool the joints, tape or reinforce what needs it, and only then coat the open roof.
- Gun a full bead into the joint and tool it so it wets both faces. A bead sitting on top of a joint is not a sealed joint.
- Follow the manufacturer’s product data sheet for joint preparation, bead size, tooling, cure and anything that may be applied over it.
Ordering
KST058100 is sold by the 10.1 oz cartridge and by the case of 24. Stocked cases ship in 1 to 3 business days, and anything not on the shelf is ordered in and runs 1 to 2 weeks. Pallet quantities, and the pails, drums or totes of coating that travel with them, are freight shipments quoted through the quote form with the part numbers, quantities, site ZIP and your dates. Every price is quoted per project.

Questions
- Is white the right color for a coated roof?
- It matches the white acrylic finish coats in the range, which is useful where the sealant stays visible. Black is KST058110 and gray is KST058120; all three are the same sealant.
- What is the difference between this and the fast-skin version?
- Both are single-component polyurethane in a 10.1 oz cartridge over the same temperature range. This one is listed tack free in 3 hours. The moisture-cure fast-skin grade, KST058200, is listed at 40 minutes.
- Can I coat over it?
- That depends on the coating and on how long the bead has had. The manufacturer's product data sheets for the sealant and the coating are what settle it, so read both before the system goes on.
- Is it suitable for TPO, PVC or EPDM?
- Those membranes are not on this sealant's listed substrates. The MS hybrid sealants are the ones listed for EPDM, TPO and PVC: the black KST058310 over aged TPO and PVC as they are, the white over TPO and PVC primed with KST058700.
- How is it sold?
- By the 10.1 oz cartridge and by the case of 24. Send the part number and quantity through the quote form; stocked cases ship in 1 to 3 business days.
