KST058451 Uniflex Tripolymer Roofing Sealant, Clear, 29 oz Cartridge
- Tripolymer sealant

- The long-run size in clear, which keeps a continuous bead going without a reload every few feet
- Takes a barrel gun sized for 29 oz cartridges rather than a standard cartridge gun
- Glass, vinyl and tile are on the maker's substrate list, alongside coated metal, masonry, steel, wood and asphalt
- Application listed from 0 F to 140 F and service from -40 F to 180 F
- Six cartridges per case, where the 10.3 oz size is packed 24

Overview
A glazing perimeter on a large skylight is one continuous joint, and a clear bead that stops and starts every few feet shows every stop. KST058451 is the 29 oz clear tripolymer cartridge, six to the case, and it is the size ordered for runs rather than repairs.
It is the same solvent-based material as the 10.3 oz KST058450, listed for coated metal (Kynar), brick, concrete, glass, vinyl, steel, tile, wood and asphalt, applied from 0 F to 140 F, in service from -40 F to 180 F, tack free in 2 hours with cure given as 4 to 6 days. What changes is the hardware and the arithmetic: a barrel gun sized for 29 oz tubes, and six cartridges per case instead of 24. White and black come in the same size as KST058401 and KST058411.
Application
- Prepare the full run first. Clean, dry, sound joints, with contaminants off glazing and vinyl as well as dust off masonry.
- Prime by substrate where the specification calls for it, with a concrete primer on cured concrete and the stated preparation on glass, tile and metal.
- Seal the visible details before any field coating work, so overspray and tooling never reach a finished clear bead.
- Work in sections and keep the tooling with the gun. A clear bead shows trapped air and tool marks, and it skins in about two hours.
- Follow the manufacturer’s product data sheet for joint design, bead size, cure and what may be applied over the sealant.
Ordering
KST058451 is sold by the 29 oz cartridge and by the case of six. Stocked cases ship in 1 to 3 business days; a size that is off the shelf is ordered in and runs 1 to 2 weeks. The product is solvent-based, so it ships as regulated freight, quoted with the order. Send the part numbers, quantities, site ZIP and your dates through the quote form. Every price is quoted per project.
Where it's used
-
Continuous glazing perimeters
Large skylights, roof lights and glazed penthouse walls, where a clear bead has to run unbroken around the unit.
-
Long tile ridge and hip lines
Ridge and hip runs on tile roofs where the tile color should stay visible and the run is long enough to justify the bigger tube.
-
Vinyl and trim runs
Extended vinyl trim, cladding edges and head details meeting the roof, closed without adding a color line.
-
Mixed-finish metal roofs
Long lap and trim lines on roofs with several metal colors, where one clear cartridge replaces several pigmented ones.
-
Stone and precast copings
Continuous joints in stone and precast concrete copings, where the surface color and texture should carry through the joint.

Questions
- Is this the same material as the 10.3 oz clear?
- Yes. KST058450 and KST058451 are the same clear solvent-based tripolymer, with the same substrate list, the same 0 F to 140 F application range and the same stated cure. Only the tube and the case count differ.
- What gun is needed?
- A barrel gun sized for a 29 oz cartridge. A standard cartridge gun will not take it, so confirm the crew has one before the case lands on site.
- Does clear need different preparation?
- The substrate decides the preparation, not the color. The manufacturer's product data sheet sets out what glass, vinyl, tile and metal each need before the bead goes in.
- How do I compare the two sizes on price?
- Compare ounces per case. Six 29 oz cartridges is 174 oz against about 247 oz in a 24-tube case of the 10.3 oz size. Send both part numbers and the quote prices each.
- When does it ship and how?
- Stocked cases ship in 1 to 3 business days. The product is solvent-based, so it moves as regulated freight, quoted with the order.
